An educational platform to assist primary and secondary school students

Ruanguru

Introduction

Ruangguru is a start up founded in Indonesia and is one of the top technology education providers in the region. They focus on providing high quality lecturers and homework delivery as the largest private tutoring market in Indonesia. Students can connect with more than 150,000 private tutors, who can provide assistance and impart knowledge outside of school. Ruangguru planned to launch an education platform in China, for which we provided user design research, prototyping and user testing.

Usability testing:

In person usability tests were conducted in three cities in China. The main purpose was to test our design prototype design to find usability issues and to obtain end users evaluation of the design prototype. During the test, we set up several tasks to test the usage time, simplicity and ease of understanding. After the first version of the prototype was tested, we improved the design. The task time was greatly shortened after the improvement.

New Homepage

Most students want to know their completion and performance in each subject, so we have made appropriate changes on the homepage. These two items have been added to the homepage so that they can see at a glance the subjects they need to improve.

After feedback from students, the location of the exercises for each topic is awkward. After moving the topic exercise to a new location, they all understood which topic exercise belonged to the subject.

使用性测试:

在中国三个城市做了实用性测试。主要目的是测试原型设计有没有用户使用性方面的问题，以及获得最终用户对设计原型的评价。测试过程中我们设了几项应用任务，以便测试使用时间、简单度和容易了解度。初版原型经过了实用性测试之后我们对原型设计经过了改良。实用性测试的任务时间随着改良后大量剪短。
